        @TamashiiHiroka I think you're really overselling 7 here. I consider it the downfall of modern Pokemon. Gen 6 lacks and interesting story and lacks difficulty, two things I don't really care about in my games. Kalos is a fun region to explore with traditional pre-gen 7 route design.

      @TamashiiHiroka Where you could actually have a meaningful amount of exploration. In addition, I think because of how rough Diamond/Pearl are gen 4 is being sold a bit short. HGSS are outstanding games and elevate the gen, and Platinum is a fun experience fixing some pacing issues.

    @TamashiiHiroka For anyone willing to read my ramble my ranking goes BW1>HGSS>Plat/BW2>RS/ORAS>GSC>RB>XY>E>USUM>SM>FRLG Gen 8 is too fresh for me to place, I enjoyed the story once but never replayed it. DP are games I wouldn't recommend to anyone because they're completely eclipsed by plat.
