    @thy_anomaly @m12ario07 @TamashiiHiroka Pokémon has always been a gender neutral child’s game. All my earliest memories of red and blue were literally every child playing it. Also no marketing material to me ever seems targeted specifically at boys. You can tell because in the second gen they let you be a girl lol.

      @thy_anomaly @m12ario07 @TamashiiHiroka That’s course correcting pretty fast. Basically every gen 2 game has some option of being a girl except GS. Crystal, stadium 2, tcg 2 ect. Honestly the biggest push towards boys was that video games in America were seen as a boys toy, nothing else really.
