No, for real though: In gens 3/GC/6/7 RNGing is quite an ordeal. You have to get 1/60th of a second precision, sometimes more precise, and sometimes multiple inputs in a row. Yeah, it's very controlled, but this shit is tedious in a whole different way than traditional hunting.On twitter.com

To me a hunt is going on the prowl for my 5 iv zapdos that -LITERALLY- took me two weeks of grinding to get. And like half of the grind time was staring at that stupid as fuck TV static and have to do 3 frame perfect inputs.Permalink On twitter.com

And yeah, gens 4/5/8 are omega fucking free manips for the most part but that's kinda why I haven't streamed them as much lately, it's not interesting content. Gen 3 is great cuz even on the easiest game (RS Dead battery) I can miss my frame for 30 minutes getting tilted.Permalink On twitter.com

I obviously think RNG is a different feel from shiny hunting since there's less surprised involved(Promise there is surprise-- You go weeks only being a few frames off and tell me you're not surprised when you finally get it.) I think both are equally degen tho LOL.Permalink On twitter.com
