  1. I don’t think generations exist in Pokémon anymore. The line has been blurred too much with how separate every game is. A generation, to me at least, is a set of games that can all connect with each other via battle and trade. BDSP, PLA, and SWSH are all independent experiences

      And cannot trade with each other or battle with each other. How are they all gen 8? They all have Pokémon that are unique to them and don’t even exist in the code of the other games? Generations stopped existing in G6 tbh. G7 is where the line blurred and SWSH/BDSP/PLA deleted it
