    @Nightlingbolt @TamashiiHiroka My point is are you excluding remakes from the generation formula all together? I understand, G8 includes Sword and Shield. But how can we count BDSP or PLA as part of G8 when they have no connectivity or anything to do with SWSH. Your starter definition does not help?

      @Nightlingbolt @TamashiiHiroka It's easy to count HGSS as part of Gen 4, for example, because it is fully 100% compatible with battles and trade within Gen 4! Newer games do not do this, so the traditional thought and convention of a Gen, which lets all games connect with eachother, is dead. No need to be mean
