    @MoxieBoosted I don't think anyone knows yet. The best guess is that this is an updated version of the move deletion thing that happened in BDSP/PLA, where Pokemon automatically get their level up moveset. Now it lets you choose between any moves that can be learned in those games.

      @MoxieBoosted If it's not mandatory, transfer moves from pre gen 8 would be allowed.
