Wife wanted to get into one piece, but the anime is horrible. Originally I was going to see if we could movie blast, but they're very inadequate substitutions. Found the fan cut of the anime called One Piece Kai. Hour long episodes, removes all fillers/reaction shots. Great edit.Permalink On twitter.com

There's choppy editing/you notice the music jumps, but the pacing is improved in addition to the accuracy to the Manga. And it's dubbed and subbed. If you're really against reading the manga(like an idiot) this is the best cut there is.On twitter.com

And yes. Controversially, I think even as far back as East Blue is paced very poorly. It’s not as bad as what comes later, but it’s bad compared to the manga, which is paced literally perfectly for a long ass time. Manga doesn’t slow down too much till thriller barkPermalink On twitter.com
