Explanations of outliers: Emerald is below RS because its single player is more bloated, and I genuinely do not think the frontier is that good of an addition compared to what RS offers.
-
BW over BW2: BW2 has a much worse plot, and I genuinely enjoy the single player campaign of white 1 much more because of the lack of outside mons.
-
Yellow is worse than RB just because the starter situation is less fun, and I kinda don't like the nicer sprites lol.

RNG manips were not considered, neither was competitive play. This was basically: How do you like the single player experience of said game.
-
PLA was only not S tier because there's not much else to do at the end of the game besides catch guys, and once you've beaten the game you've explored everywhere. My favorite games have post-game exploration.

Musing on this. ORAS is lower than RS, and it's really because the single player lost a lot of the charm. The game sorta speeds you along, forces a legendary into your hands, and doesn't let you take a break or relax. The vibes are just...off? Not bad at all. Just like originals!

Sword and Shield get a big boost from Crown Tundra being fun. The single player in that game is just like. Idk, it's fine. Some of the areas have nice atmosphere, and while it's not fun to explore, at least the game leaves you alone sometimes unlike Gen 7.

S/V would be more fun if the overworld was better designed and it wasn't just, kind of a mess. The games are low quality, but I REALLY like the Arven story. Sick dog = good story.
