@Mermaid_Dork In addition, just because the fan format is taking measures to balance itself doesn’t mean it’s inferior. Maybe the game wasn’t designed for smogon singles, but then, if they do bans and balance it appropriately, it’s still balanced all the same?Permalink On twitter.com

@Mermaid_Dork I would also make the argument gamefreak absolutely knows people play the games this way and they intentionally do some balance for it. I don’t think heavy duty boots or hazard control would exist if they didn’t know. Hazards have never even been a factor in 3v3.On twitter.com
