To add onto this; they make it nearly impossible to play non official formats in the actual games. You have to preplan a day in advance to get a game that isn't constrained by the 20 minute timer. Pokemon used to be a flexible series you could play how you want, with who you want. But they're taking every unique way to play away. Shiny hunters are hit with more & more locks, WiFi players can't have custom rules, there's no post-game facilities, etc.Permalink On twitter.com
