@norainthefuture I don't really think so. I can enjoy it moment to moment for what it is, but it has real problems outside of being what it is. I think my biggest problem is how bad the controls are. The game was designed to be moved around on a dpad, but has full 3d movement. Navigation is 1

@norainthefuture Really frustrating. And if you use the dpad, that doesn't work either because the character has a full, sluggish, turning animation. This isn't a problem in the grand underground because it was designed as a all new area to accommodate for it.
-
@norainthefuture It also ISN'T a faithful remake. It chooses to be faithful or unfaithful arbitrarily. Grand Underground is totally different (and improved), secret bases removed, HMs removed, new team options added, exp share permanently on, affection mechanics. It's a VERY different experience
-
@norainthefuture BDSP is a weird game because it doesn't just do QOL stuff that something like, Wind Waker HD did with the sail. It drastically changes how you engage with the source game. No HMs and extra Pokemon in Grand Underground means team building is a totally different experience

@norainthefuture For me, BDSP get basically the correct amount of hate, but for the wrong reason. People hate them for what the ARE because they aren't what they WANTED. I originally disliked them for the same reason -- I couldn't do WiFi battles like I did in gen 4 (20 min timer).
-
@norainthefuture People who want to relive their childhood can't play BDSP because it's not a faithful remake on any level imo. People who wanted a full update like ORAS also didn't get that. So that leaves enjoyment to people who didn't like DP, but just thought it needed like 5 fixes.

@norainthefuture I do agree ILCA got very hosed. It's pretty clear the games had literally no dev time.
