    1. This is a well known historical fact lol. Plenty of other things contributed to the ps2s good sales, and certainly once it had a big library the dvd mattered less. But the ps2 at launch was significantly cheaper than a dvd player AND DVDs were already popular. Blu ray was not. @Dreamboum/1822979813470007673

    And people were also buying ps3s for the same reason btw. It was cheaper than most blu rays. It just wasn’t a huge format yet.
