They never explain the problem, they always say we're insane for not seeing it. What is the problem. The census bureau indicates 8.4% of people who can vote speak english "less than very well". And also, that's only going off of how many people voted last election. It'd actually be way more than that who would be legally restricted from voting. The voting rights act sought to protect these minority communities in 1975 for a reason. We should want everyone voting!On twitter.com

The idea that you cannot find alternate language media sources for U.S. news / politics is laughable. Anyone who's ever scrolled random tv as a kid has seen spanish / chinese language news stations, I'm sure. And with the internet, it's not hard to stay informed.Permalink On twitter.com
